About TECH DESK

TECH DESK explains new developer tools, releases and research in plain English: what changed, who it affects and what to do about it.

Who runs this site

Hi, I'm Shishir, a tech enthusiast. I started TECH DESK because announcements from engineering blogs and research labs are often long and written for insiders. I wanted a place that pulls out what actually matters for people who build software, and says clearly what is still unknown.

I set up and run the publishing system, choose the sources it reads, and check the site regularly. If an article is weak, wrong or not useful, I fix it or remove it.

How articles are made

Each day an automated pipeline scans primary sources such as official engineering blogs, release notes and research feeds. It picks topics that matter to developers and drafts an explainer using only facts found in the source. A separate fact-check then compares the draft against the source text, and articles that fail the check are never published.

Articles are drafted with AI assistance, and we say so on every article. We link the original source at the bottom of each post and do not copy source text. Parts marked "Our take" are opinion, not fact.

What we cover

Developer tools and platform changes, browser and web platform updates, cloud and infrastructure news, security-relevant releases, and research with practical impact for builders.
